About OBGA
The OBGA was formed in 1954 with 60 original members. The original function was to collect assessments on blueberries produced in Oregon. Those funds were used for research and promotion.
In 1979, the silver anniversary of OBGA 108 people attended, 7 of those were from the original 60 members.
In 2004, OBGA celebrated its 50th anniversary and the Blueberry Production Course is put on by OSU/NWREC and is a success.
Through the years, OBGA has funded research, monitored market pricing and has had such a distinguished leadership that Oregon Blueberries have become the best on the market.
